Electronic AIP Training
Synclude offers a wide range of trainings dedicated to the EUROCONTROL eAIP Specification.
Our in-depth knowledge of the eAIP Specification, combined with our experience in the technologies involved, allows us to offer to our clients the best eAIP-focused training available. Our courses are targeted to 3 separate audience:

eAIP Users
Synclude has produced for EUROCONTROL an 18-minutes animation in 6 episodes, explaing how to use an electronic AIP in HTML format, including SVG charts usage. This User's Guide is available on EUROCONTROL's Web site.
Readers of eAIPs may be satisfied with this guide, but large eAIP users need more. These users need not just read an eAIP but they also want to extract the data from it, to import it into their information system, or to aggregate several eAIPs into a consistent and continuous information source. Arguably, we at Synclude are looking into the future, here, since only a handful of countries are already publishing their AIP in the eAIP format. In any case, Synclude is ready to respond to your eAIP usage requirements.
eAIP Developers
AIS organisations with in-house developers, or which are subcontracting with a software company for their AIP production system, will be interested in our developers training. We give training on the following:
- eAIP production requirements: how to safely implement the eAIP procedures into your production system;
- The technologies involved: introductory or detailed technical courses on XHTML, CSS, XML, XSL-FO, XSLT, specifically applied to the eAIP Specification;
- Style sheets customisation: in-depth explanation of the EUROCONTROL-provided style sheets and how to customise them safely.
Having actively participated in the eAIP Specification development for EUROCONTROL, Synclude is intimately familiar with these technologies and the eAIP style sheets.
These courses can take 2 to 5 days, depending on your actual needs. They are addressed to skilled software developers and advanced Web developers.
Locations
We are very flexible and can either organise the training in Belgium or meet you in the city of your choice. If you choose to organise it yourself, we will discuss with you about the hardware and software requirements for the class room.
Prices
The price of our training is €1900 per day, excluding VAT.
This includes:
- 6 hours of actual teaching/exercise (i.e. 7.5 to 8 hours including the pauses)
- Course notes in electronic format
- Any number of participants; we recommend, however, that the number of trainees does not excess 8, in order for the courses to be effective and for the trainer to be able to provide assistance to each participant individually as needed.
Our price does not include:
- Trainer's travel and accommodation (we charge the actual expenses, which depend on the location);
- Training room location, if needed (we charge the actual cost);
- Trainees accommodation, travel and other personal expenses.
At Synclude, we believe it is only fair to base our trainings price on the trainer's time passed in class, and not ask for a price per participant, as it is often seen in the industry. In fact, we welcome interested parties to contact their colleagues from other countries or from military/civil organisations and arrange to fill an 8-persons class. This would certainly allow for a significant price cut for each organisation.
